About HTX Sports Massage
Austin Kayser – Houston Sports Massage and Fascial Stretch Therapy
A new sense of freedom for the client is Austin’s goal and, as a body worker, his greatest reward. His bodywork has been called “intelligent” because it is through his gifts of touch and intuition that he listens to the tissue, and lets it be his guide. After graduating from Massage Therapy School and becoming a licensed massage therapist in 2010, he soon began working toward his certification in myofascial release with Til Luchau through his Advanced-Trainings program. Austin traveled throughout the United States and to Costa Rica to study and finally received his Myofascial Release Certification in 2014. In 2019, Austin achieved his Level 3 Medical certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) along with a certification in sports specific FST with the Stretch to Win Institute. Throughout his career, Austin’s clientele has grown widely, ranging from professional athletes to those seeking relief from injuries, pain, stiffness, and the stresses of everyday life.

WHAT IS A SPORTS MASSAGE?
Sports Massage is a style of bodywork that addresses the particular needs of athletes. Sports Massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events, as well as off-season, pre-season, and post-season. The purpose of the sports massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and prevent injuries. Sports Massage utilizes a mixture of techniques ranging from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Structural Integration (similar to Rolfing®), Myofacial Release, and Facilitated Stretching.
